Here is the quick summary of the steps:

Option 1: On an Android phone or tablet

This is the standard way to add credit or a promo item to your account.

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.

  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions -> Redeem gift code.

  4. Enter the code and tap Redeem.


Option 2: On a Computer / Web Browser

If you want to redeem the code via a browser (mobile or desktop):

  1. Go to: play.google.com/redeem 

  2. Enter your code and click Redeem.

  3. The value will be added to the Google account you are currently signed into.


Important: Always check that you are logged into the correct Google account before redeeming. Once a code is redeemed, it cannot be transferred to another account.

 

⚠️ Note regarding existing users & free trials

If you have already installed the app or previously used a free trial (e.g., a 7-day trial), please note the following:

  • Eligibility: Many promo codes are for new subscribers only. If you have subscribed to the service in the past or used a trial period, the code may be rejected.

  • What to do: If the code is rejected for this reason, check the terms and conditions of the offer. Unfortunately, if the offer is restricted to new users, you cannot apply it to your current Google account for this specific app.

Important: Always check that you are logged into the correct Google account before redeeming. Once a code is redeemed, it cannot be transferred to another account.
